Hot Shoe Racing was formed in 1988 as an adjunct business to the Bridgehampton Race Circuit ("The Bridge"), in Bridgehampton, NY. Track Manager and Hot Shoe Principal, Dennis Macchio felt that the remote location of the track, and the lack of local racing-oriented services, underscored the need for a trackside shop capable of building, preparing and repairing race cars, as well as providing ancillary services such as machining, tire mounting and welding. Over the past 20 years, Hot Shoe Racing has carved out a reputation as the leading race prep shop in the Northeast. With the closing of The Bridge, Hot Shoe was moved to Northeastern Pennsylvania, and is now affiliated with the renowned Bertil Roos Racing School. Led by race engineer Ed Rich, the shop has turned out scores of winning drivers. The formula for success has been simple: Top level engineering and car preparation, plus a unique approach to driver coaching and an insatiable desire to win, equals success. Hot Shoe drivers, on two separate occasions, have brought home national titles and three Runoffs poles in their first year of racing, an unprecedented achievement in the ultra-competitive Formula Ford and Formula Continental classes. Our successful forays into pro racing have never diminished our commitment to amateur drivers, and that is the reason our motto remains, "never forget that it is a sport first, a business second." |
