On Friday, October 3rd, we will be holding our second Bertil Roos “Rookie Runoffs” racing event on the North Course at Pocono Int’l Raceway, with a Practice Day on Thursday, October 2nd.
The program will be open to all past and present graduates of our Rookie Camps, who have not yet competed in more than two racing events.
The event will parallel the format of our regular race series events, consisting of a practice session, qualifying session, 12 lap and 18 lap race. All race series rules will apply and drivers will be expected to know them.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each of two groups, and the race winners will receive a free race weekend (practice day and race day) during the 2009 season.
The event will be limited to 18 competitors, and will be on a first come, first serve basis. The cost of the event is $1,250.
This is an opportunity for all new drivers to test their skills against drivers of similar experience, and possibly get a jump start on their racing budgets for the 2009 season.
